Willard #1 Pump Station Motor Alignment 11/18/2021
Weber Basin Water Conservancy District intends to award a contract to Rexel USA/Gexpro for the alignment of two 1,000 HP motors, shafting, and pumps at it's Willard #1 pump station at Willard Bay. This project consists of the use of high precision laser alignment equipment and techniques. This facility is critical to the District's operations at Willard Bay, therefore it is critical that the alignment be performed precisely and correctly to ensure the proper functioning of the pumps and motors. The alignment will be performed once the pumps, motor, and shafting are reinstalled after being worked on this winter. Rexel USA/Gexpro is the only company the District is aware of with the capabilities to perform this work. They also have previously attained knowledge of this facility and equipment from previous projects, which is a large benefit to the District. For these reasons, it has been determined to be in the best interest of the District to move forward with Rexel USA/Gexpro. The Contract for the work is expected to begin during the end of November or early December 2021, and is anticipated to be complete by April 2022.
