Weber Basin Water Conservancy District (District) will receive Requests for Proposals for preconstruction and construction services for the Davis Aqueduct in Reach 1 Parallel Pipeline Project which will be delivered under the Construction Manager-At-Risk (CMAR) delivery method. WBWCD is currently working with Brown and Caldwell Engineers to design the proposed parallel pipeline to the existing Davis Aqueduct Reach 1; from the Bifurcation structure to the Davis North Water Treatment Plant in Layton, Utah. This RFP will allow the District to select a Construction Manager to support preconstruction serices (Phase 1) as well as the possibility of construction services (Phase 2) for a 2.2 mile, 63-inch minimum pipeline. Proposals will be accepted until 2:00 PM Mountain Time on Friday, February 8, 2019. The Weber Basin Water Conservancy District is now accepting Statements of Qualification from Electrical Contractors that wish to provide services for the construction of the District's new Water Efficiency Research Center, Administration Building Addition, and Maintenance Building Remodel Project. 

The Work generally consists of:

  • Water Efficiency Research Center Building
    1. New electrical system in a new single story 9,500 SF mass timber framed and architectural concrete Water Efficiency Research Building.
  • Administration Building Addition
    1. Connecting into the existing electrical system in the Administration building and running it into the new two story 3,600 SF steel framed addition.
  • Maintenance Building Remodel
    1. Connecting into the existing electrical system in the Maintenance building and running it into the new remodeled 2,000 SF single-story Maintenance building.

The site is located on the existing District campus at 2837 East Highway 193, Layton, UT 84040.  The Owner is anticipating receiving bids for the Work in February 2019.  The Work will commence in March 2019 and be completed and approved by OWNER in all respects by November 30, 2019.  It is preferred that the Maintenance Building Remodel be completed by June 30, 2019 and the Administration Building Addition and Remodel be completed by August 30, 2019.

    2. Site improvements for approximately 75,000 SF of existing site, including a new parking lot, paved patio space, landscaping to blend into the existing demonstration gardens, and all associated storm drain, site lighting, and irrigation systems.
  • Administration Building Addition
    1. Selective demolition of approximately 550 SF of the existing 2 story Administration Building.
    2. Construction of a new two story 3,600 SF steel framed addition to connect to the existing Administration building with all ­­­associated structural, HVAC, electrical, security, and AV systems.
    3. Remodel of approximately 3,500 SF of interior space of the existing 2 story Administration Building.
  • Maintenance Building Remodel
    1. Selective demolition of approximately 2,000 SF of the interior of the single-story Maintenance Building
    2. Remodel of approximately 2,000 SF of interior space of the existing single-story Maintenance building with all ­­­associated structural, plumbing, HVAC, electrical, security, and AV systems

The site is located on the existing District campus at 2837 East Highway 193, Layton, UT 84040.  The Architect estimates the total cost of construction to be approximately $6,200,000 for the work described above.  The Owner is anticipating receiving bids for the Work in February 2019.  The Work will commence in March 2019 and be completed and approved by OWNER in all respects by November 30, 2019.  It is preferred that the Maintenance Building Remodel be completed by June 30, 2019 and the Administration Building Addition and Remodel be completed by August 30, 2019.

REQUEST FOR STATEMENT OF QUALIFICATIONS (RSOQ) FOR 2019 GENERAL ENGINEERING SERVICES APPROVED VENDOR LISTS

Weber Basin Water Conservancy District (District) is requesting Statements of Qualification (SOQ’s) from firms desiring the opportunity to provide general engineering services to the District for the upcoming year.

In accordance with the District’s Policies and Procedures the District may maintain a list of approved professional firms that may provide Design Professional Services (DPS) to the District. For professional fees less than $50,000.00, as specified in the District’s Policies & Procedures Manual, the District may select a firm from an approved vendor list. DPS firms may be placed on the approved vendor list by submitting an SOQ in response to this request and demonstrating competency in their submitted SOQ.

Firms that are currently on the General Engineering Services approved vendor list may resubmit their current SOQ on file by submitting to the District a letter certifying that all of the information in their documents on file is accurate and up to date.

This is a general announcement not related to any particular project. Separate requests for statements of qualification for specific projects may be advertised at the District’s discretion or when the professional fees exceed $50,000.00. To obtain the RSOQ please contact:
