We are seeking two qualified applicants to fill full-time Temporary & Seasonal Maintenance Worker positions. The work schedule is Monday-Friday 7:00 am – 3:30 pm.  This position will work through early December.  This position will be working outdoors assisting our construction and maintenance crews in maintaining District infrastructure.

Courses in mechanical, industrial arts or general vocational education is preferred but not required.

Prior experience is not required although related experience is preferred. Basic knowledge of the types and uses of common hand tools, materials and equipment used in general maintenance, construction, repair and laboring work. Should be familiar with basic safety practices.

Ability to learn the methods, materials and equipment necessary to perform manual labor in all weather conditions; ability to lift at least 50 pounds; ability to perform manual labor for several hours at a time; ability to learn more completely basic safety practices and procedures; ability to follow instructions; ability to work effectively with other District personnel.

Salary $11.00+/hour depending on experience.  Must be at least 18 years old.  Must have a valid driver’s license with a good driving record. Ability to work in all types of weather. Must be responsible, able to work with others, and willing to follow directions.

Weber Basin Water is seeking qualified applicants to fill a full-time Maintenance Worker – Right of Way/Meter Crew position.  The work schedule is Monday-Friday 7:00 am – 3:30 pm.  Duties include, but not limited to, operating specialized heavy equipment, installing meters, weed trimming, maintaining right-of-way’s, and general maintenance functions.

Must obtain Class A, Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) within 3 months of hire.  Must have and maintain a valid Utah driver’s license and an acceptable driving record per District policy. Ability to work in all types of weather. Must be responsible, able to work with others, and willing to follow directions. 

Starting wage is $16.28+/hr depending on experience.  Must be at least 18 years old.
